Everest View Trek starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla hosts the most dangerous airport in the world, Tenzing Hilary Airport, which is the entryway for trekking in the Khumbu region. After landing in Lukla, the trek starts immediately as you move towards Phakding through the rhododendron forest. Following the trails of Dudh Koshi River, the trek takes you to the picturesque Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, which is also the commercial hub of Khumbu region. The trek features a breath-taking panorama of Everest (8848m) and the accompanying peaks from the highest operating hotel in the world, Hotel Everest View (3962m). The trek also features a brief visit to the beautiful Sherpa village of Khumjung whose monastery displays a skull of the Yeti. Later, the trails take you to the ancient Tengboche Monastery, which hosts a stunning vista of the Himalayas. One of the major highlights of the trek is the hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m) via Pangboche. The panorama of Ama Dablam (6856m), Everest (8848m), and other snowy peaks from the base camp is a real treat for the eyes. Welcome to Nepal! Our representatives will be waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport. You will be picked and transferred to the hotel room by our staff. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today will be spent on a guided tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley. You start by visiting Swayambhunath stupa and later visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. After that, you will visit Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath before heading back to your hotel. All of these places hold high cultural and historical values of the valley. Overnight at the hotel.
We take an early morning mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This picturesque 40-minute flight will reward you with amazing landscapes and mountains. We land on the most dangerous airport in the world, Lukla, and ascend on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding. This trek will be a short trek to adjust to the growing altitude. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Mt Nupla (5885m) and Kusum Khangkaru (6367m).
From Phakding, the track goes to the northern side of Dudh Koshi River valley through the pine forest, and finally crossing the suspension bridges, we reach the village of Monjo. The path takes us through waterfalls and villages and forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and fir. Experience your first sight of Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m), and Nuptse (7879m). Finally, we reach the commercial hub for the trekkers and locals, Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Today is set for acclimatization, so we will spend the day exploring the outskirts of Namche. We hike up to Hotel Everest View (3962m), the highest operating hotel in the world. From the top, we get an attractive view of different peaks like Everest (848m), Nuptse (7861m), Thamserku (6623m), Ama Dablam (6812m), and many more. Later, we cross the longest Mani wall in Khumbu to arrive in the beautiful Sherpa village of Khumjung. Here, we visit Khumjung Gompa which displays a Yeti skull in its premises. We return to Namche via Khunde village for the overnight stay.
Today will be a pleasant walk in nature as we walk through the forest with the delightful view of mountains. After walking or an hour, we reach Phunke Tenga. The trail leads us to some water-powered prayer wheels and passes through a forest full of rhododendron trees to bring us to Tengboche Monastery. The ancient monastery is the most important monastery in the entire Khumbu region, and it also hosts breathtaking views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8501m), and other peaks of Khumbu region. Overnight in Tengboche.
The trail to Pangboche follows Imja Khola upstream and moves through stone steps. We get to catch splendid views of Everest (8848m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) throughout the trek. Upon reaching Pangboche, we cross Imja Khola and walk on the bank of Cholungche Khola to arrive in Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m). At the base camp, we are rewarded with an alluring vista of Ama Dablam (6856m), Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8501m), and other mountains. Later, we descend to Pangboche for the overnight stay.
This day will be a pleasant one because the trails are mostly downhill. Relishing the continuous view of the snow-capped mountains, we walk on a forested trail with some gompas and Chortens to arrive in Phortse. Phortse is a small Sherpa village, off the main trekking routes in Khumbu; hence, you get to witness authentic Sherpa culture and tradition in the village. Overnight in Phortse.
We descend from Phortse and cross the bridge over Dudh Koshi River to arrive in Phortse Thanga. Then, crossing small gompas, Chortens, Mani walls, and stone steps, we arrive in Sanasa. We then pass a few settlements and cross numerous suspension bridges to finally arrive in Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Today, we return to Lukla, where this beautiful journey started. We cross many suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River, pass various Sherpa settlements, and walk through a couple of Mani walls to arrive in Lukla. You can spend the evening interacting with the locals. Overnight in Lukla.
We fly over the mountains once again as we take an early flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival, you will be taken to the hotel. Later, you can wander around the streets of Kathmandu, and do some shopping to gift your friends and family. Feel free to get the taste of local food and lovely ambiance of Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today is the farewell day. An office representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport a few hours before the scheduled flight.
