Overview

This trip takes you on a whirlwind tour to three important tourist destinations in Nepal- Kathmandu, Chitwan & Pokhara. Explore old medieval palaces of the Malla era, ancient temples and monuments which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.  Take on a wet challenge and go rafting on the rapids of Trishuli river. Discover the rich wildlife and bio diversity of Chitwan National Park by taking a jungle safari (elephant ride, canoeing, jungle walk). Chitwan National Park is home to the endangered one-horned Rhino, the Royal Bengal tiger and a host of other endangered flora and fauna. A visit to the scenic lake side town of Pokhara adds on to the fun factor. Go boating on the serene Phewa Lake, where the magnificent spire of the Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peak is reflected, discover the wonders of Davis Fall, Mahendra Gupha (cave), Seti Gorge and the island temple of Barahi. Catch the sunrise from Sarangkot and witness the magical experience of the rosy dawn breaking over the snowy spires of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Hiunchuli.  This trip encompasses culture, adventure and scenic Himalayan experience to make this an unforgettable experience.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrive Kathmandu / Overnight Hotel

Arrive in Kathmandu & transfer to hotel. Please pass on your arrival details to us. Our representative will be there to receive you and escort you to your hotel.) O/N Hotel.

 

Day 02 – Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu (Boudha, Pasupatitnath & Patan)

After an early breakfast we set off on a city sightseeing tour to UNESCO World Heritage sites of Boudhanath – the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal and  Pashupatinath – most important Hindu shrine in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva.  In the afternoon we drive to Patan or Lalitpur (the City of Artisans and visit Patan Durbar Square, a medieval Malla palace. Krishna Temple, Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple and Golden Temple are the major attractions at the square.

DAY 03: Drive to Kurintar; Rafting on Trishuli  & transfer to Chitwan

We take an early morning drive to Kurintar. Lying on the banks of the Trishuli river, Kurintar is a major hub for water sports. We reach Kurintar after 4-hours drive. Our river guide will brief us before our adventure begins and on his guidance we take to the waters and ride on the rapids of Trishuli. After an exciting and thrilling experience we will be driven to Chitwan.

DAY 04: At Chitwan – various jungle activities

For our jungle safari activities we head to Chitwan National Park. Now a protected national park, the jungle once used to be the hunting ground of Nepalese royals and aristocrats. The park is home to endangered one-horned rhino, Royal Bengal tiger and scores of other animals, birds and tropical plants. We take an elephant ride and explore the lush jungle. There are scores of activities you can indulge in – canoeing, elephant bathing, jungle walk or a visit to the elephant breeding centre. In the evening there will be cultural shows by the Tharu community.

DAY 05: Drive to Pokhara; transfer to hotel later boating on Fewa lake

From Chitwan we drive along the Prithvi Highway to Pokhara. Enchanting sights of small villages, wayside brooks  and mountains keep us spellbound en route. As we reach Pokhara, we are greeted by majestic sights of Manaslu, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna peaks.

DAY 06: Sightseeing in Pokhara

The lakeside city of Pokhara is a popular tourist destination. We take a boat ride on the Phewa Lake and enjoy the sights of the city. Later we visit Davis fall, Mahendra cave, Seti Gorge, the beautiful temple of Bindyabasini and International Mountain Museum.

DAY 07: Excursion to Sarangkot; After fly back to Kathmandu

We rise early and hike or drive to Sarangkot to catch the early morning sunrise from the view point. The sun rising over the snowy Himalayan peaks (Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Machhapuchure, Annapurna III, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal) is a beautiful sight to behold. The sight of the sun’s rosy glow coloring the pristine white peaks is mesmerizing. Located at an altitude of 1592m, one can see the whole Pokhara Valley from Sarangkot.

Later in the day we take a flight back to Kathmandu.

DAY 08: Depart Kathmandu

Our staff will drive you to the airport for your flight back home.
